Hidden near the summit of Dobongsan, it's where I always stop for a cup of ramyeon.

Not because I'm hungry...

but because this place offers something even better.

Just a few steps away...

the summit is crowded with hikers.

But here...

it's quiet.

No crowds.

Just me...

the towering granite cliffs...

with the entire city spread out beneath my feet.

Over decades of hiking, I've enjoyed cup ramyeon on countless mountain summits.

Snow-covered peaks.

Seas of clouds.

Endless ridges.

Every view adds its own flavor.

But a secret spot is the best seasoning of all.

Some hikers climb for the summit.

Others for the perfect photo.

Me?

I come here...

for a quiet cup of ramyeon.

Maybe that's why every hiker has a secret spot.
